So what are our predictions for Ramadan 2024? Ramadan this year starts around the second week of March, depending on the moon sighting. We anticipate a slight decline in the number of Series released into the market, mainly due to war-affected countries, also leading to further depreciation of the currency in production hubs, driving up the cost of production.

We also anticipate seeing more stories incorporating support of peace, justice, and freedom for Arab countries under attack like Palestine, Sudan, and Yemen.

Synergy's historical drama "El Hashashin" is poised to stand out this season, accompanied by five other series, including Season 8 of the multi year Egyptian Comedy hit series "El Kebeer."  El Kebeer will continue despite the withdrawal of support and termination of the agreement by Saudi- owned streaming platform Shahid due to a conflict that was caused when Mohamed Salam, a key Character in the show, announced last-minute cancellation of his participation in a different performance in the Saudi capital Riyadh in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza amidst the war.  The show remains highly anticipated on other Arabic broadcast platforms.

Lebanese Production Giant Cedars Art has announced four titles for now, after releasing eight high-value series last season.

Egypt's ِel Adl Group has announced two series, one featuring the surprise return of Egyptian star Yehia Al Fakharani.

Eagle Films is moving forward with Season 2 of last year's hit, "Kamel el adad," starring Dina El Sherbini.
