Rotana Media and digital-first platform Scene have joined forces to launch “Micro Dramas” — short-form, vertical-format series made for mobile audiences. The partnership brings together Rotana’s strong legacy in Arabic drama and Scene’s modern, digital approach.
The collaboration includes producing new short-form works and adapting a number of Rotana’s existing titles to suit today’s digital viewing habits. The aim is to create engaging Arabic stories that reach younger audiences on the platforms they use most.
Nada Makhzoum, CEO of Rotana Channels, said:
“Our partnership with Scene extends this vision by empowering Arab creativity through new, innovative storytelling formats that reach viewers wherever they are, in the way they prefer to watch.”
Sayed Finianos, Founder and CEO of Scene, added:
“Rotana’s deep expertise and solid position in the Arab media landscape bring great value to this collaboration. Together, we want to introduce a new generation of short-form dramas for Arab youth, combining quality production with the spirit of the digital age.”
This partnership reflects a new way forward for Arabic content: where traditional media and digital creators work together to develop modern, mobile-first formats and connect with new audiences.
