Arab animation takes a bold new leap — backed by one of the region’s most beloved broadcasters.

In a milestone move for the Middle East, a leading animation broadcaster, Spacetoon, dives into a long-term creative alliance with an independent studio — Samaka Studio.

Spacetoon now joins Samaka Studio as a strategic partner, acquiring a minority stake to co-create original IPs, expand regional production, and shape the next generation of Arab animation.

This partnership introduces a new creative model for the region —where a major broadcaster invests not in a single project, but in a creative ecosystem built for growth and collaboration.

This partnership is about flow — about acceleration, collaboration, and building a shared current that connects worlds of imagination.

Samaka Studio, born in Cairo and flowing now between Cairo and Abu Dhabi, is inspired by the boundless spirit of the sea, and has long been known for its culturally rooted storytelling and bold visual language.

Through this partnership, both studios aim to accelerate IP creation, expand production capacity, and establish a regional hub for animation innovation — while preserving Samaka Studio’s creative independence and distinctive identity.

Through this new phase, Samaka Studio will strengthen and expand its original IPs — including R.E.M. and Kamaroza — while opening new creative channels with global partners.
