27 Dec 2024 | Category: News

✨2024 was a milestone year for the Co-Production Salon as we expanded our physical presence across key events worldwide.✨

In February, we expanded into Saudi Arabia. We partnered with the Saudi Broadcast Authority to host the Salon at the Future of Media Exhibition in Riyadh (Read about it here), and we're doing it again in 2025! The upcoming Future of Media Exhibition taking place in Riyadh will commence on February 19, 2025. Read about it here and apply to join us here.

By May, our continued collaboration for the 3rd year with CABSAT, the region's largest broadcast and media tech exhibition, resulted in an estimated $2.5 million in collaborative deals, based on reported numbers, and deals that we could track. Check out the video from our CABSAT moments on this link.

In October, we took the Arabic Co-production Salon to the global stage at MIPCOM in Cannes, France—the world’s largest co-production and content market. Showcasing the region’s top talent and production capabilities, we connected MENA-based companies with international partners eager to explore the market's untapped potential.  Check out the details on this link.

Having enabled countless partnerships in 2024, we recognize that many conversations have yet to materialize into deals. In 2025, our focus will shift toward turning more partnership discussions and opportunities into actionable agreements. We aim to make partnering with MENA entities easier and more organized by creating tools that simplify the process. Our efforts will focus on aligning partnership frameworks with international standards, encouraging seamless deal-making, providing more transparent risk and ROI assessment tools, and instilling confidence in structuring agreements

We will support more members of our Arabic content community in

⇒ Trading their video assets beyond the region & securing their place in the global content market,

⇒ Using existing data from the MENA content market to assess project risk and ROI effectively

⇒ Finding the perfect international partnerships for co-investment in content.

For international folks looking to expand into the MENA region, we’ll continue providing crucial insights and marketplace data from the Arabic content industry. This is essential for understanding the scope of opportunities, challenges, and deal dynamics across the five territories in our region. Of course, as always, our main role is to help find the perfect partnerships that align both ways!

Wishing you a very successful year ahead!
